1. When compared with Western multinational companies, what do you think the are major characteristics of global staffing policies taken by Japanese multinational companies?
2. If you are sent to a foreign country as an expatriate manager of a multinational company and will stay at least one or two years, what kind of challenges and difficulties you expect to encounter? How would you tackle such challenges and difficulties? You can assume any foreign country (e.g., U.S., France, China, or wherever) to be assigned to. Consider both of the cases: (1) you are single and stay in the country alone, (2) you are married with children and your entire family will accompany you for the expatriation.
